ACCOMMODATIONS

There are many places to stay in Boston and Cambridge, and we have listed several here. We strongly suggest that you make your reservations as soon as possible. Please note some of these hotels appear on the map on the directions page.

Blocks of rooms have been reserved at the following locations, so mention that you are with the Boonie/Griebel wedding party.

The Inn at Harvard - This inn (pictured above) is very close (i.e., less than 5 minute walk) from the church and reception sites. We have a block of 20 rooms reserved until August 14, 2001. The quoted rate was $259 per night. Call (617) 491-2222 for reservations, and mention GS-KRISTEN. However, if you reserve your room by going directly to the Doubletree website (they own this inn), there is a $209 rate with AAA and AARP, if it's still available.

The Harvard Square Hotel - Run by the same group (Doubletree) that runs the Inn at Harvard, this hotel is approximately 10-15 minutes by foot from the church. We have a block of 10 rooms reserved until August 14, 2001. The quoted rate was $219 per night. Call (617) 864-5200 for reservations, and mention code GS-SCOTT. However, if you reserve your room by going directly to the Doubletree website (they own this inn), there is a $159 rate with AAA and AARP, if it's still available.

Doubletree Guest Suites - Located across the river in Boston, this hotel is about 10 minutes from Harvard Square (by car). The Doubletree also has shuttle service to Harvard Square. Double-occupancy rooms are $229 per night. Call (617) 783-0090 for reservations, and mention the "I DO" rate.

We do not have any rooms set aside at the following bed and breakfast inns, but they are well worth trying.

The Mary Prentiss Inn - A charming Bed and Breakfast, centrally located in a historic building in Cambridge. Rooms are priced individually and range from $169-259, including parking and breakfast. Rollaway beds can be added in the suite rooms only, for an additional cost of $25. You can take a tour of the hotel on their website, and see some of the rooms. There is a two night minimum stay. Call (617) 661-2929 for reservations.

Irving House and Harding House - Two simple bed and breakfasts, run by the same people, located in Cambridge. Irving House is closer to Harvard, while Harding house is somewhat newer. Room prices range from $119 (with shared bath, double-occupancy) to $199 (with private bath), and include breakfast. Call (617) 547-4600 for the Irving House and (617) 876-2888 for the Harding House.
